Leuprolide Acetate(Eligard), Androgen Suppression (Hormone) Therapy, American Cancer Society:"Even though LHRH analogs (also called LHRH agonists) are more expensive and require more frequent doctor visits, most men choose this method over orchiectomy. These drugs lower testosterone levels as effectively as orchiectomy by decreasing the androgens, mainly testosterone, produced by your testicles.
